In short: Eini is a Swiss meal planner app. Eini’s own algorithm plans lunch and dinner for the days you cook. It uses this week’s real promotions at Coop, Migros, Lidl, Aldi, Denner and Aligro. The shopping list builds itself. Your first 3 meal plans are free, then the Food plan costs CHF 1 per week. Try it free for 7 days.

What you set and what you get

You set Eini up once. After that, every new plan starts from the promotions running that week.

You set:

• How many adults and children are eating
• The days you cook
• Your preferred stores
• Your diet: vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free, nut-free, low-carb or high-protein
• Favourite cuisines and the appliances in your kitchen
• What is already in your pantry, and organic first if you like
• An indicative weekly budget: CHF 75, 100, 150, 200, 250 or 300. The plan can go over it.

You get:

• Lunch and dinner for your cooking days, from a curated recipe library
• Recipes built around the week’s promotions
• A shopping list grouped by store, category or recipe
• The cheapest basket across several stores, only your stores, or a single store
• Nutrition per recipe and servings you can adjust

How the meal planner works

1. Tell Eini how you eat. Add how many people, which days you cook and where you shop. Your diet and pantry count too.
2. Get this week’s plan. Eini’s own algorithm matches recipes with this week’s promotions. Don’t like a meal? Swap just that one.
3. Take the list to the store. Your shopping list writes itself. Tick items off in shopping mode, even offline.

Eini is an app for iOS and Android, with no web version. Your first 3 meal plans are free. After that, the Food plan costs CHF 1 per week, with a 7-day free trial and cancel any time.

• A plan shaped around you. Cooking days, adults and children, vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free, nut-free, low-carb or high-protein, favourite cuisines and the appliances you own.
• Real promotions, per ingredient. Every ingredient is priced from real products at Coop, Migros, Lidl, Aldi, Denner and Aligro, and each meal shows how many of them are on sale.
• This week’s deals in one place. Browse all current promotions by store and category, see the discount and the original price, and add any deal to your list with a swipe.
• Cheapest basket or your stores. Let Eini spread the list across retailers for the lowest total, or keep it to the stores you actually shop at.
• Organic first, if you want. Switch on the bio preference and organic products are suggested first wherever a store has one. Regular products still appear when there is no organic option.
• What’s already at home. Tell Eini what is in your pantry: those items drop off the list, and recipes that use them are favoured.
• A list that shops with you. View it by category, store or recipe, tick items off in shopping mode, mark what you already have with a swipe, and see how much the promotions saved you. It works offline too.
• Swap without starting over. Replace any meal with a suggestion from our algorithm, or search the recipe database with prices shown. Cook once, eat twice: dinner can become tomorrow’s lunch.
• Nutrition on every recipe. Calories, protein, carbs and fat at a glance, with the full label one tap away. Change the servings and the quantities rescale.
• Your own recipes. Like a recipe to save it, write your own with a photo, and drop any saved recipe into a day when you want to cook it again.
• Loyalty cards and savings. Keep Cumulus, Supercard, Lidl Plus and other cards in one wallet, show the barcode at the till, and watch your total saved with Eini grow trip by trip.
• History and export. Restore a past plan, look back at past shopping trips with what they cost and what they saved, and export both the plan and the list as PDF.

Where the prices come from

Eini takes the promotions from each retailer’s public promotions page: Coop, Migros, Lidl, Aldi, Denner and Aligro.

This happens week by week, as soon as each retailer publishes its new promotions. Every ingredient is then priced from real products at these retailers.

Regional offers do not apply everywhere. A promotion in your plan may not be available at your branch. Eini does not show live shelf prices.

What Eini does not do

• No delivery, no ordering. Eini does not sell food. You shop in the store as usual.
• No stock guarantee. A promotion may be missing at your branch or already sold out.
• No fixed prices. Prices and promotions change. The price at the till is the one that counts.
• No budget promise. Your weekly budget is a guide. The plan can go over it.

And two things it never does: show ads or sell your data.
