In short: Eini estimates your taxes from official ESTV data, for your municipality and your family situation. You see your net salary line by line, check your deductions and compare cantons. It is an estimate, not an official tax assessment. Eini Premium costs CHF 3 a week or CHF 90 a year. You can try it free for 7 days.

What you enter, what you get

You enter:

  • your gross salary
  • the municipality you live in
  • single or married, with or without children
  • if you like, a photo of your payslip instead of typing

You get:

  • a tax estimate for your exact municipality
  • your net salary, line by line
  • a deductions check: what each deduction saves you and where there is room for more
  • a canton comparison: what you would pay elsewhere
  • the deadlines that matter, in view

Your canton's official calculator remains the reference for tax alone. Eini brings net salary, taxes, deductions and the canton comparison together in one app.

How it works

  1. Add your details. Enter salary, municipality and family situation. Or photograph your payslip: Eini reads the details, then discards the image.
  2. See your estimate. Eini calculates your taxes and net salary for your municipality, using official ESTV data.
  3. Check your deductions. You see how much each deduction saves you and where you still have room.
  4. Compare cantons. You see what you would pay elsewhere on the same salary. The Housing module adds rent, health premium and commute.

Your net salary, line by line

Several items sit between your gross salary and what reaches your account. Eini shows each one separately, so you know where your money goes.

  • AHV (old-age insurance): your contribution to the state old-age and survivors' insurance.
  • ALV (unemployment insurance): it protects your income if you lose your job.
  • Accident insurance: it covers accidents at work and, depending on your working hours, in your free time too.
  • Pension fund: your contribution to occupational pension provision (BVG). It builds your future pension.
  • Health insurance premium: it is not deducted from your salary, you pay it yourself. Eini still shows it as its own line, so you see what is left.

Where the numbers come from

The tax estimate is based on official data from the Swiss Federal Tax Administration (ESTV). Eini applies it to your municipality, your marital status and your children.

The rest comes from you: your salary and the details you enter. The more complete they are, the better the estimate fits your situation.

No ads. No selling of your data. Photographed payslips are read and then discarded, never stored.

What Eini does not do

  • Eini does not issue an official tax assessment. All figures are estimates for orientation.
  • Eini does not fill in or file your tax return.
  • Eini is not tax advice.

Before you act on a number, confirm it with your cantonal tax office or a fiduciary (Treuhänder).
