In short: Eini is a Swiss super app for saving money in everyday life. It brings five modules into one app for iOS and Android: Groceries, Career, Taxes, Housing and Insurance. The five modules

  • Groceries: Eini's own algorithm plans lunch and dinner for the days you cook, around the week's promotions at the six stores. Recipes come from a curated recipe library. The shopping list builds itself, grouped by store, category or recipe. You choose the cheapest basket across stores, only your stores or one store.
  • Career: compares your salary with the official Swiss wage statistics (BFS, Swiss Earnings Structure Survey 2022) by role, experience and large region, and shows your realistic next step and the skills it asks for.
  • Taxes: estimates your taxes from official ESTV data for your municipality, shows your net salary line by line, compares cantons and checks your deductions. It is an estimate, not an official tax assessment.
  • Housing: compares places by what you keep each month: rent, taxes, health insurance premium and the real commute by public transport or car.
  • Insurance: keeps your policies in one place with renewal dates and cancellation deadlines, reminds you before each deadline, compares your basic health insurance with the official BAG premiums 2026 and 2027 and has a franchise calculator.

Why one app instead of five

Salary, taxes, health insurance, rent, commute and groceries decide the same thing: how much you have left at the end of the month. A cheaper flat does not always mean a cheaper life, and a raise is often worth less than it looks once taxes are counted.

Today each module answers its own question. The Housing module already brings rent, taxes, health insurance premium and commute together in one comparison. Eini Premium gives you all five modules for one price.

What Eini is not

  • Not a supermarket and not a delivery service. Eini sells no food.
  • Not a live price tracker. Promotions are taken over week by week, as each store publishes them, and regular prices are a dated snapshot of each store's online range. Offers in your branch can differ.
  • Not a coupon or loyalty points app. The card wallet shows your loyalty card's barcode at the till; points stay in the retailers' own apps.
  • Not an insurance broker. Eini sells no insurance, gets no commissions and gives no advice: it compares, calculates and reminds.
  • Not an official tax assessment. Tax figures are estimates.
  • Not affiliated with Coop, Migros, Lidl, Aldi Suisse, Denner or Aligro.

How the weekly meal plan is made

  1. You tell Eini how many adults and children you cook for, on which days, where you shop, your diet, what is in your pantry and an indicative budget.
  2. Eini takes the week's promotions at Coop, Migros, Lidl, Aldi, Denner and Aligro.
  3. Eini's own algorithm picks recipes from a curated library that match those promotions and your settings.
  4. The shopping list links each ingredient to a real product, with pack size, store and price.

How many products and promotions Eini has per store, with the collection date, is on the Data and method page. Those numbers are calculated automatically from Eini's database.
