Find this week's supermarket deals with ChatGPT and Claude.
On its own, ChatGPT does not know this week's deals. With the EINI connector, it asks EINI, for eight Swiss chains.
ChatGPT and Claude can only name this week's deals if they can look them up somewhere. The EINI connector gives them exactly that: the weekly deals at Coop, Migros, Lidl, Aldi, Denner, Aligro, Volg and Otto's, with deal price, regular price, discount and validity.
Setup takes about two minutes and needs no EINI account. After that, one question is enough, such as “Which coffee deals are on this week?”. The figures come from EINI; ChatGPT or Claude only write the answer.
Updated 20 Oct 2026Why ChatGPT does not know the deals on its own
- Its knowledge is months old.
- A language model learns from text up to a cut-off date. The deals change every week, on Thursdays at Coop, Migros, Denner, Aldi and Lidl.
- Web search finds flyers, not a list.
- With web search, ChatGPT often lands on PDF flyers, old articles or single product pages. That does not add up to a comparison across eight chains.
- Estimated prices sound real.
- Without a source, a model can give prices that sound plausible but are wrong. With the connector, every answer says where the figure comes from and which day it is from.

In ChatGPT
- Developer modeWith ChatGPT Plus or higher, on a computer: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings → turn on Developer mode.
- Create the connectorChoose Create and enter the URL https://api.eini.app/mcp.
- AskNew chat: “Which beer deals are on this week?”
EINI has been submitted to ChatGPT's app directory. Once it is approved, searching for “EINI” in ChatGPT's apps will be enough. All details are on the connector page.
How to ask
- “Which meat deals are on at Coop and Migros this week?”
- “Where is mineral water cheapest this week?”
- “Which organic products are on offer at Lidl?”
- “What is more than 40% off at Denner this week?”
- “Which coffee deals still run until Wednesday?”
- “Which Aldi deals start on Thursday?”
- “Make me a shopping list for a raclette with this week's deals.”
- “Make me a vegetarian weekly plan for two with this week's deals.”
The more precise the question, the better the answer: name the chain, the product or the category and, if it matters, the day. For a weekly plan, the connector asks for the EINI login; the first plan is free.
What every answer contains
- Product and chain
- As the retailer names the product.
- Deal price
- In CHF; for fresh food also per 100 g or per kg.
- Regular price and discount
- Only when the retailer publishes the regular price. Multi-buy offers such as “40% off from 3” are shown as such.
- Validity
- Until when the deal runs, or from when it starts.
- Source and date
- Weekly deals published by the retailers, collected by EINI, with the day of collection.
These are not live shelf prices: regional offers and individual stores can differ. EINI shows the same data on the deals this week and deals next week pages.
Not reliably. Without access to current data, ChatGPT only knows what is in its training data or in a web search. The deals change every Thursday; the EINI connector provides them directly, with the date and the source.
No. Deals and health-insurance premiums are free and need no account. For a weekly plan you need an EINI account; the first plan is free, further plans need EINI Food, the same as in the app.
Coop, Migros, Lidl, Aldi, Denner, Aligro, Volg and Otto's. The deals are collected every week, as the retailers publish them.
No. ChatGPT or Claude only send the search to EINI, for example “coffee, Denner”. For deals and premiums there is no login and no personal data.
Yes, once the connector is set up. In ChatGPT, setup in developer mode currently needs a computer; after that, the search works in the app too. In Claude, the connector is available in the app as well once added.
